"The Coaster" Week ending August 25, 2013

Church Family, Here are a few things coming up that you need to know:

1. Newcomers Breakfast. Sunday morning at 9:30 in the Fellowship Hall we will have breakfast for people that would like more information about the mission/vision and how to get involved in the work of ministry at SouthCoast. We will have Munchkins and Coffee for you. We look forward to seeing you Sunday morning.

2. Ownership Class. "Members have rights, owners have responsibilities." Our next Ownership class is happening this Sunday at 6pm. Ownership is the new way that we have to describe our membership. Our first class was awesome and I am really looking forward to this Sunday night.

3. The Blessing Bag ministry will be meeting Friday night, September 6th at 6pm at SouthCoast to put the bags together. Then on Saturday morning will meet at 10am in the parking lot near the baseball field at Deering Oaks Park. Even if you can't make either one of these times but could help with supplies, there is a list of needed supplies on the bulletin board at the church. Everything on the list is needed except for water.

4. There is a Triathlon this Sunday in the Saco area that may affect your route to church. Below is the notice explaining road closures. The Rev3 Triathlon will be held this Sunday August 25th starting with the Swim in Old Orchard Beach at 6:20 am followed by the bike course which will go through Saco and ending with the run in Old Orchard Beach.

The following Saco roads will be affected by the triathlon bike course;

Cascade Rd Route 1 from Cascade Rd to Flag Pond Rd

Flag Pond Rd

Jenkins Rd

Buxton Rd

Louden Rd

New County Rd

Grant Rd

Watson Mills Rd

Ash Swamp Rd

Hearn Rd

The Saco Police would ask motorists to have patience and use caution while traveling on these roads during the triathlon between 6:30 am and 11:00 am. During this bike portion of the triathlon motorists may encounter delays in traffic and may wish to plan accordingly or take an alternate route. Saco Police also ask the motoring public to use caution when passing any of the athletes.

Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday.

Blessings!

Travis Bush Pastor, SouthCoast Community Church
